Borussia Monchengladbach wingback Ramy Bensebaini would be one of Inter’s main targets to replace Robin Gosens on the left flank should the German depart during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Il Giorno, via FCInter1908, who report that the 27-year-old has been on the Nerazzurri’s radar since some standout performances against them in the Champions League.

Bensebaini had been a key part of the Gladbach team who faced Inter twice during the group stage of the 2020-21 Champions League.

The Algerian was very effective in the battle down his flank in both matches, catching the eye of the club’s directors, as well as then-coach Antonio Conte.

According to Il Giorno, Bensebaini has never really left the Nerazzurri’s radar.

Given that former Atalanta wingback Robin Gosens could be on his way as soon as the January transfer window, the Nerazzurri could soon be looking for a left-sided wingback.

For this role, Il Giorno reports, Bensebaini stands out as one of the Nerazzurri’s primary targets.
