Inter are considering extending the contracts of experienced duo Matteo Darmian and Danilo D’Ambrosio.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who reported earlier today via FCInterNews that the pair are still seen as important players on and off the pitch and are still in the plans for at least one further season.

Both Darmian and D’Ambrosio see their current deals run out at the end of June 2023.

In both cases, the players did not go into the current season with their futures beyond the current campaign certain.

However, wingback Darmian has shown that he remains a reliable option on both flanks, particularly the right, whilst defender D’Ambrosio has also shown that he remains more than capable as a backup option on the right of the back three.

In both cases, particularly that of D’Ambrosio, the players’ influence in the dressing room is also considered important by the club.

Accordingly, it is likely that both Darmian and D’Ambrosio will be offered new contracts.
