The Turkish national team will not be at the upcoming World Cup, but they still have plenty to fight for and build towards going into the future.

Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is the man who has been given the task of captaining Turkey following the retirement from international football of former skipper Burak Yilmaz earlier this year.

The Nerazzurri midfielder wore the captain’s armband as Turkey beat Scotland 2-1 in a friendly match yesterday, and posted on his Instagram account after the match to celebrate the result.
