Inter are expecting the response from defender Milan Skriniar to their contract extension offer shortly after he returns from international duty with the Slovakian national team.

This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri are anticipating the 27-year-old’s response next week.

Inter have made their offer to Skriniar to extend the defender’s deal past the end of June 2023, with the offer on the table after a few weeks of negotiations.

The club are offering the Slovakian a contract worth around €6.5 million net per season plus add-ons according to Sky.

Skriniar has yet to give his response to this offer, and the defender is currently on international duty with Slovakia, who he now captains after the retirement from international football of Marek Hamsik.

However, the 27-year-old will be back in Milan next week, and the Nerazzurri are expecting his response to their offer not long after he returns.
