Inter have asked about the availability of Salernitana wingback Pasquale Mazzocchi, who will not be leaving his current club during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Granata have no plans of letting Mazzocchi depart as early as January, though he is a player who Inter are thinking about as a left-wingback target.

Inter are considering the possibility of reinforcing on the left flank, particularly in the event that Robin Gosens departs.

Mazzocchi’s form for Salernitana so far this season has made him a target to potentially replace the German.

According to the Gazzetta, the Nerazzurri have already made enquiries about Mazzocchi’s availability, a few weeks ago.

However, the newspaper reports that the Granata do not intend to sanction a transfer of the 27-year-old during the January transfer window.
