Inter striker Lautaro Martinez will be fit enough to be part of the Argentine national team’s squad for their FIFA World Cup group stage opener against Saudi Arabia.

This according to Argentine broadcaster TyC Sports, via FCInterNews, who report that the 25-year-old will be part of the Albiceleste’s starting eleven for Tuesday’s match despite some concerns about his fitness.

Martinez was not part of Argentina’s matchday squad for their World Cup warm-up friendly against the United Arab Emirates.

This was due to some concern that the Nerazzurri striker was not at his physical best, and that it would be better to leave him out of the match to rest as a precaution rather than taking the opportunity to play and gain match fitness.

However, according to TyC Sports, there are no concerns about Martinez’s availability for the Albiceleste’s first match of the World Cup group stage against Saudi Arbia on Tuesday.
