Inter are aiming to sign Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah and wingback Jesus Vazquez during the January transfer window in the event that Robin Gosens and Roberto Gagliardini leave the club.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri are starting to plan for a move for both of the pair.

Inter are not likely to make signings in January unless there are also departures, but this could be on the cards given the status of both Gosens and Gagliardini at the club.

Should Gosens depart, Vazquez would be one of the Nerazzurri’s main targets to replace the German on the left flank.

The 19-year-old would have a clause in his deal that allows him to leave on loan for the rest of the season due to not having made a certain number of appearances so far this campaign.

Meanwhile, Musah is a player who the Nerazzurri have been scouting for some time, and he will also be observed with the US national team at the World Cup.

The 20-year-old American would cost around €20 million, and so if Inter were to move for him it would likely have to be on an initial loan deal that could be made permanent during the 2023-24 season.

However, Inter are serious about Musah, particularly to reinforce midfield, according to the Gazzetta.
