Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is edging towards the exit door for the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old is increasingly likely to depart given his limited playing time, and that Cremonese and Monza are keen on signing him.

Gagliardini has not featured prominently this season for Inter, with just five appearances in Serie A, two as a starter and three as a substitute, and four appearances from the bench in the Champions League.

The former Atalanta midfielder is certainly not set to be offered a new contract with his current deal expiring at the end of June 2023.

Gagliardini could already be allowed to leave for the right offer in the January window, however, and could seek a new challenge where he would receive more playing time.

According to the Gazzetta, Cremonese and Monza are the two clubs most interested.
