Udinese defender Rodrigo Becao and Eintrachr Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka are among Inter’s main targets to strengthen their back three next summer.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri could move for either of the pair in the event that there are departures from their defense at the end of the season.

Inter could see some upheaval in the backline next summer.

Stefan de Vrij’s current contract expires at the end of June 2023, and the Dutchman is only likely to be offered an extension at lower wages than the €4.2 million net per season that he currently earns.

Meanwhile, Francesco Acerbi is only on loan from Lazio, and whilst coach Simone Inzaghi would welcome making the 34-year-old’s signing permanent, the Nerazzurri would have to negotiate a discount from the Biancocelesti’s €4 million valuation.

If any defenders leave next summer, Inter will have to replace them in order to have adequate depth in the positions.

Becao is one player on the Nerazzurri’s radar, as the Brazilian has shown at Udinese that he is up to the required level of Serie A and adept at playing in a back three, whilst the Friulani’s asking price would be around €12-13 million.

Meanwhile, Ndicka is also very much a stylistically appropriate target, whilst Tuttosport note that if Eintracht are to move for Robin Gosens then Inter could make the 23-year-old part of the talks.
