Inter have contacted the agent of Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram to try and accelerate the process of signing the player in the January transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Frenchman is a major target for the Nerazzurri in January and they are wasting no time in trying to get a deal done to sign him.

According to Calciomercato, Inter’s interest in signing Thuram has more to it than just the simple fact that he could be available for free out of contract next summer or on a bargain fee in January.

Rather, the Nerazzurri continue to see the 25-year-old as a major target in attack, having already targeted him during the summer 2021 window.

The report suggests that the Nerazzurri would be so keen on signing Thuram that they don’t want to wait until next summer when his contract with Gladbach expires.

Rather, Inter want to get a deal wrapped up by January so as to beat the competition of Bayern Munich in particular to sign the Frenchman.

As such, the Nerazzurri have already accelerated the contacts, speaking with Thuram’s agent.
