Inter have no intention of signing forward Cristiano Ronaldo even if he becomes available on a free transfer if he parts ways with Premier League Manchester United.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908, who report that the Nerazzurri would not be among the clubs interested in the 37-year-old’s signature even if he leaves United.

Rumours are very much swirling that Ronaldo could leave United after the Portuguese international gave a controversial interview in which he criticized many aspects of how the club are run.

If the club take a decision to terminate the 37-year-old’s contract with cause, or if a termination of his deal is agreed by mutual consent, then he would likely go in search of a new club.

According to Mediaset, among Italian clubs, Roma and Napoli would have some interest in signing Ronaldo, whilst Inter would have next to none although they are monitoring the situation.

The broadcaster reports that a move to a different club within the English top flight would be likelier than a transfer to a team in Serie A.
