Inter are not planning any more medical tests for the injury that is set to rule forward Joaquin Correa out of participating in the World Cup in Qatar with Argentina.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri’s medical staff feel that they have enough information about the injury already and do not need to assess it further.

Correa had already missed out on matches against Sassuolo in Serie A and Barcelona in the Champions League through injury for Inter.

The feeling of the club’s medical staff is that the muscle injury that has caused the 28-year-old to be dropped from the Argentine national team squad for the World Cup is a recurrence of the same issue.

Accordingly, the plan is to allow Correa to rest and recover from the problem and then return to the team’s training camp during the break without any further assessments.
