Inter wingback Raoul Bellanova was sent off in a friendly match between the Italian Under-21 national team and the German Under-21 national team earlier today.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 22-year-old received a second yellow late on in the match, which ended in a 4-2 loss for the Azzurri at the hands of their German counterparts.

Bellanova was included in the starting eleven for the Italy Under-21s as they went in search of a win against Die Mannschaft.

The 22-year-old received a yellow card initially, and then late on in the match he received a second yellow for protestations following a straight red that had been given to Atalanta-owned Modena defender Giorgio Cittadini in the 85th minute of the match.

Both of the Azzurri’s goals were scored in the second half by young Lazio forward Matteo Cancellieri, whilst Germany found the back of the net through four different scorers.
