Inter President Steven Zhang has already held meetings with several private equity and credit funds in the US regarding a possible sale of or investment the Nerazzurri.

This according to journalist Carlo Festa of Italian business newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore, who reported in a tweet that the Nerazzurri President has already been in some talks in the US.

Inter have been persistently linked with a possible sale by owners Suning for some time, although for this to happen a feasible buyer would have to be identified.

Reports have stated that the owners have been looking for buyers with the aid of US investment banks Goldman Sachs and Raine Group.

Additionally, the owners could pursue another line of credit in order to finance the debt that the club currently has.

Meanwhile, the visits of Nerazzurri President Zhang to the US have aroused some speculation that looking for buyers for the club or financiers could be part of his agenda.

According to Festa, some meetings of Zhang with prospective buyers have indeed taken place in the US.

“On Inter, according to various sources Steven Zhang has had meetings with both private equity and credit funds over the past several months,” he tweeted.
