Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is in no rush to leave the club and could remain until his contract expires in the summer, despite falling out of favour.
According to FCInterNews.it, the Nerazzurri are keen to move the Italian international on in January in order to raise funds through a sale, rather than lose him for free at the end of the season.
Gagliardini is not in coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans and efforts are being made to find a buyer after the World Cup, but Inter may encounter resistance from the player himself.
The former Atalanta midfielder is content to see out the season with Inter before weighing up his options, and wants to hold out for an offer from a Serie A team with a suitable level of ambition.
Alternatively, Gagliardini will consider approaches from abroad next summer, with a move to the Premier League or La Liga should interest arise.
It is unlikely that the 28-year-old will be offered a new contract at Inter, but he remains keen to see out his deal with the club and stay until June.
