Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has offered his services to Inter as he attempts to force his way out of the Premier League club, according to Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi.

The Portugal international faces an uncertain future at Old Trafford after an explosive interview with British broadcaster TalkTV last week, in which he criticised the structure of the club, as well as coach Erik ten Hag, his teammates, and former Manchester United players.

Speaking on his YouTube channel yesterday, Sport Mediaset journalist Barzaghi revealed that Ronaldo had offered himself to Inter as he looks to leave Manchester United, particularly amidst suggestions that he could be sacked by the Red Devils and become a free agent.

“Manchester United want to get rid of him and not even a dismissal for breach of contract is ruled out, after his statements in a recent interview,” Barzaghi claimed.

“Cristiano Ronaldo has offered himself to Napoli, but also to Inter. Would you take him for 6 months? If  he was sacked by United, he would be free to move.

“He earns 30 million a year, for 6 months he could earn €15m or, with a discount, even €10m. It seems to me that Napoli and Inter have refused this offer from his agent though.”

Ronaldo is currently on international duty with Portugal at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, as they prepare to face Ghana in their opening match on Thursday.

The Selecao will then take on Uruguay and South Korea in Group H.
