Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is not planning to seek a transfer during the January transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old will be happy to see out the remaining season on his contract and then assess possible new clubs during the summer transfer window.

Gagliardini’s current contract runs out at the end of June 2023, but the former Atalanta midfielder has already been linked with a number of clubs as early as the January transfer window.

However, according to FCInterNews, the player is in no rush to be on his way.

The 28-year-old would be happy to stay at Inter for the rest of the current campaign despite having limited playing time, rather than moving to a different club in January.

At the end of the season when Gagliardini’s contract with the Nerazzurri expires, the midfielder will look to move to an Italian club that he deems to have a suitably ambitious project, or to a team in another league such as La Liga or the Premier League should the opportunity arise.
