Inter are expecting that they will be able to extend the contract of defender Milan Skriniar by Christmas.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri anticipate that they will be able to reach the final agreement and put pen to paper on a new deal with the Slovakian by the end of the year.

There is still work to be done before Inter can finally get negotiations towards a new deal wrapped up with Skriniar and his representatives.

However, the Nerazzurri are calm and optimistic that the remaining talks that will be necessary are not going to drag on too much longer.

Along these lines, the club are expecting that by Christmas the 27-year-old will have penned a new deal committing his long-term future to Inter.

Once Skriniar is back in Milan from international duty, the negotiations are expected to resume.
