Inter left-back Dalbert could be on his way out as early as the January transfer window if he is to recover from his knee injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Brazilian would likely be allowed to leave six months before the expiration of his current contract.

Dalbert had been expected to leave Inter during the summer transfer window, but a serious knee injury meant that it proved impossible for the Brazilian to find a new club.

The 29-year-old, who has spent time at Fiorentina, Rennes, and Cagliari on loan since joining the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2017 from Nice certainly does not have a long-term future at Inter.

Given that the Brazilian’s current contract with Inter runs out at the end of June 2023 and he is hardly set to be offered an extension, he could leave in the January window, though only if he recovers from his injury.
