Cremonese are planning to end the loan spell of Inter-owned goalkeeper Andrei Radu early during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Lombard team plan to send the 25-year-old back to the Nerazzurri after he has been displaced from the starting eleven by Marco Carnesecchi.

Radu joined newly-promoted Cremonese on loan at the start of the current season where he had hoped for more playing time to gain consistency, having rarely featured for the Nerazzurri over the two seasons prior.

The Romanian had a good start, with a solid string of performances in his first few matches apart from a high-profile error in his first match for the club against Fiorentina.

However, with Atalanta-owned Carnesecchi having come in for Radu whilst he was injured, the Romanian has not been able to break back into the team.

Accordingly, Radu is set to return to Inter where a different solution will be found for the rest of the season.
