Inter are considering a move for young Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 19-year-old is also a target for Juventus and Manchester City, and that his price tag could be as high as €30 million.

Scalvini’s form in Serie A has caused the young Italian to emerge as a target for a number of clubs not just in Italy but also abroad.

The Bianconeri are keen, whilst City in particularly are monitoring Scalvini.

The Nerazzurri are serious about trying to sign the 19-year-old, according to the Gazzetta, and would be ready to make a significant investment in a player similar to that for Alessandro Bastoni who also arrived from Atalanta.

As with Bastoni, Scalvini’s combination of defensive qualities and ability in possession as well as proficiency playing in a back three are very attractive to Inter.

Based on his form for Atalanta this season, the Gazzetta report that Scalvini’s asking price will have risen above €20 million, likely as high as €30 million at this point given the clubs interested.
