Monza are preparing a bid to try and sign Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini during the upcoming January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 28-year-old is a major target for the Brianzoli and that the Nerazzurri could be willing to let him leave in January.

Gagliardini has found his playing time at Inter limited so far this season.

The former Atalanta midfielder’s current contract with the Nerazzurri runs out at the end of June 2023, but he could even be allowed to leave before then.

Inter would listen to offers for Gagliardini, particularly given that a fee for the 28-year-old could be put towards other transfer business.

A few clubs are monitoring the midfield, but newly-promoted Monza look to be the team to have most seriously made him a target as they work to strengthen in the January window.
