Inter are set to offer striker Edin Dzeko a contract extension worth around €3 million net per season.

This according to Italian news outlet L’Interista, who report that the Nerazzurri will offer the 36-year-old a new deal on reduced wages compared to what he currently earns, and that the player would have no problem accepting the salary cut.

Dzeko has shown this season that he is still a vital player for the Nerazzurri despite his age.

Accordingly, the Nerazzurri have no hesitation about extending the Bosnian’s deal, which as it stands runs out at the end of June 2023.

Inter will not, however, offer Dzeko a contract on the same wages that he currently earns, which are in excess of €5 million net per season.

Rather, the club will offer the former Roma, Manchester City, and Wolfsburg striker a deal at no more than €3 million net per season.

For his part, Dzeko wants to stay at Inter and would have no problem accepting an extension at reduced wages.
