Italian journalist Marco Barzaghi feels that Inter could be more likely to sign Valencia’s Jesus Vazquez than Rennes’s Adrien Truffer at left-wingback due to his being a more cost-effective solution.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, the journalist explained that there is interested in Truffert from the Nerazzurri, but that he would cost more than Vazquez one.
Inter are in search of a potential left-sided player to sign, possibly as early as the January transfer window in the event that Robin Gosens is to depart then.
Today, the name of Truffert has come up as a possible option, as the 21-year-old French international has impressed playing in a role that would suit this Inter team.
However, it could prove financially difficult to sign the 21-year-old from Rennes.
Vazquez, by contrast, could be available on loan during the January window, therefore representing a more cost-effective option.
“Truffert is a very interesting player who’s very fast, but he has a high valuation of €15 million,” Barzaghi explained.
“This makes a deal for him very difficult.”
“It would, however, be much easier to sign to get to Jesus Vazquez, who can leave on loan without a fee, with a purchase option,” he continued.
“Truffert has played more than Vazquez, who has only four appearances in the league this season,” Barzaghi noted.
“However, Gosens needs to decide to leave and leave Inter in January first,” he added. “And they still haven’t received the right offer that would allow them not to take a capital gains loss on him.”
