Napoli are ready to rival Inter for the signature of Salernitana wingback Pasquale Mazzocchi.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 27-year-old could be sold for a fee of around €10 million.

Mazzocchi’s form this season for Salernitana has attracted some significant transfer attention.

The former Venezia wingback has been one of the names most strongly linked to Inter for their left flank in the event that Robin Gosens departs and a backup for Federico Dimarco is needed, possibly as early as the January transfer window.

However, it is not just the Nerazzurri who are keen, as the Gazzetta reports that Napoli are also interested in signing Mazzocchi.

According to the newspaper, Salernitana’s intention is to try and keep hold of Mazzocchi.

However, if an offer of €10 million or more were to arrive for the wingback, it is unlikely that the Granata would turn it down.
