Inter could sell wingback Denzel Dumfries as early as the January transfer window as they look to cash in for at least €40 million.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri would be ready to sell the Dutchman amid interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich, although only if he could be loaned back until the summer.
According to the Corriere, Dumfries is the player Inter have decided to sell in order to bring in a significant transfer fee to meet financial targets.
The 26-year-old is valued by the Nerazzurri at around €40 million.
Inter are hoping that Dumfries’s performances with the Dutch national team at the World Cup will raise his profile and also price tag.
Chelsea remain keen according to the Corriere, whilst Bayern are also interested in the former PSV wingback.
The Nerazzurri would be ready to sell Dumfries next summer, but could also make a deal in January which would see the Dutchman leave to join another club before being loaned back for the remainder of the season.
