Inter midfielder Kristjan Asllani feels that former Nerazzurri midfielder Wesley Sneijder is the player he looks up to the most.

Speaking on the “A Coffee with…” series, via FCInter1908, the Albanian named the former Inter, Real Madrid, and Galatasaray midfielder as his idol, particularly noting his ability from free kicks.

Sneijder established himself as a key player in one of the strongest Inter teams in the club’s history, with his goals, assists, and all-around play from attacking midfield crucial to the treble win of the 2009-10 season.

The Dutchman left a lasting impression on virtually all who watched him throughout his time at Inter.

Asllani is a long-time Nerazzurri fan, and the 20-year-old was among those who was most impressed by what he saw from Sneijder.

As he explained, the Dutchman is the player who he most looks up to in football.

Asked which player he would most like to take to dinner, Asllani replied that “I’d say Sneijder.”

“He’s my idol, I would ask him how he’s able to take free kicks as well as he does.”

Asllani continued that “The teammate who’s helped me the most to adapt at Inter has been Danilo D’Ambrosio, he immediately took an interest in me, he asked me about how I was settling in at home, he’s helped me in everything.”

He also noted that “I’ve bonded a lot with Raoul Bellanova, as we both arrived in the summer from different teams and are around the same age.”
