Inter could be especially keen to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram in 2024 in order to reinforce their attack for when Edin Dzeko leaves the club.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who argue that the likely departure of Dzeko by the start of the 2024-25 season means that Thuram could be an important part of plans for the future.

Dzeko could well extend his contract past the end of the current season, given that the Bosnian’s current form has continued to make him an important part of the Nerazzurri’s team.

However, given that the former Roma, Manchester City, and Wolfsburg striker turns 37 before the current campaign is over, it is not realistic to expect him to be at Inter past the end of June 2024.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri will already be thinking about how they move on from the Bosnian.

In this sense, 25-year-old Thuram could be the perfect addition to reinforce in attack for well into the future when Dzeko is no longer at the club.
