Inter are considering moving for Tottenham Hotspur wingback Emerson Royal on loan with a purchase option as a replacement if they sell Denzel Dumfries.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via L’Interista, who report that the Brazilian is a target to replace Dumfries on the right and that Spurs could be willing to let him leave.

Emerson had already been a target for Inter during the summer transfer window of 2021 when they were looking for a replacement for Achraf Hakimi.

The 23-year-old made the switch to Spurs in the Premier League that summer instead.

However, Spurs and former Inter coach Antonio Conte could be willing to let Emerson leave, as he does not consider the Brazilian a major part of the first-team plans.

Accordingly, Emerson could be back on the Nerazzurri’s radar should they sell Dumfries, with Chelsea keen on the Dutchman.

Inter’s intention would be to sign Emerson on loan initially, with an option to buy him permanently.
