Inter could move for RB Leipzig wingback David Raum as a replacement for Robin Gosens on their left flank.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri may have signed “the wrong German” in Gosens and could look to rectify this by moving for Raum.

When Inter signed Gosens from Atalanta, the German was a regular in his national team.

However, the 28-year-old’s decline in form and fitness and relative lack of playing time for the Nerazzurri meant that he has been left out of Die Mannschaft’s squad at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Raum is the player who took Gosens’s place in the Germany squad, with the 24-year-old having particularly impressed for Hoffenheim last season where he earned a move to Leipzig.

The German’s valuation would be around €25 million now, meaning that he would not be the easiest target to sign, but he could well be a tempting target for the Nerazzurri.
