Inter are pushing to try and agree a deal to sign Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuram for as early as the January transfer window.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInter1908, who reported earlier today that the Nerazzurri want to try and get an agreement with the 25-year-old wrapped up as soon as possible so that they can beat out the competition for his signature.

Thuram’s availability on a free transfer at the end of the current season has meant that the Frenchman is a target for a number of top European clubs.

Inter are aware that they could have difficulties signing the Gladbach striker should they leave things too long, as more offers will be set to come in for him.

Therefore, Inter Sporting Director Piero Ausilio is working to try and convince Thuram and his representatives to agree a deal for January so that they can beat the competition for his signature.
