Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram’s agent has made clear to Inter that the Frenchman is in no hurry to leave his current club in January.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that Nerazzurri Sporting Director Piero Ausilio met with the 25-year-old’s representative in Qatar.
Inter are keen to sign Thuram and one strategy to beat out the substantial competition for his signature could be to try to move for him in January.
If Gladbach want to cash in on the forward rather than losing him for free when his contract expires at the end of June 2023, they would demand around €10 million.
If the Nerazzurri were to raise funds with a sale of a player like Robin Gosens or Roberto Gagliardini, this approach could be within reach.
However, Asuilio was informed by Thuram’s agent that the Frenchman has little intention of moving in the January transfer window, and would be happy to remain at Gladbach and then make a decision on his future in the summer.
