Inter To Try & Sign Gladbach Forward Marcus Thuram & Valencia’s Yunus Musah In January, Italian Media Suggest

Inter are set to bring their transfer plans forward as they look to sign Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah and Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram in January.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are determined to sign USA international Musah and want him for the second half of the season, as they seek to drag themselves back into the Serie A title race.

It is expected that a midfielder will be sold by Inter in January, most likely Roberto Gagliardini, and once this has been completed it will free up funds and space in the squad for Musah, but a deal with Valencia is proving difficult.

Inter would prefer to pay a fee to sign him on loan in the winter transfer window, with a view to a permanent deal next summer, but Valencia want to sell outright rather than release him for a smaller fee on loan.

The Nerazzurri’s efforts would also be boosted if they were to receive a substantial offer for forward Joaquin Correa in January, which would allow them to land Musah and accelerate their efforts to sign Thuram.

With his contract at Gladbach expiring in June, Inter are hoping to take advantage and sign the France international for a reduced fee in January.
