Inter wingback Robin Gosens could be set to depart the club in the January transfer window after attracting interest from French club Nice.

According to Footmercato.net, the Ligue 1 club are in the market for a defensive reinforcement for their left flank and are ready to turn to Serie A in their search for an incoming transfer.

Whilst their first choice would be Empoli’s breakout star Fabiano Parisi, Nice are also investigating the possibility of bringing in Gosens after he fell out of favour at Inter.

The Nerazzurri are thought to be looking to cash in on Gosens just one year after signing him from Atalanta, and new Nice sporting director Florent Ghisolfi has already opened up channels of communication with the Germany international’s agent.

Gosens initially joined Inter on loan in January from Atalanta before completing a permanent transfer in the summer, but has fallen behind Federico Dimarco in the pecking order and only made 27 appearances for the Nerazzurri.
