Chelsea could decide to push to sign Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries during the January transfer window.

This according to Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, who report that the Dutchman is a major target for the Premier League club, and that they may not wait beyond this January to make their move for him.

Chelsea’s interest in signing Dumfries is no secret, as the 26-year-old former PSV wingback had also been on the Londoners’ radar from the summer transfer window.

The Blues have hardly lost their interest in signing the Dutchman, and will make another attempt to sign him at some point in the next one or two transfer windows in all likelihood.

Chelsea may not wait until next summer’s transfer window to move for Dumfries, and are starting to prepare a move for the January window.

It remains to be seen whether the Nerazzurri would allow Dumfries to leave during the January window, and if so how they would look to immediately replace him, even with Matteo Darmian and Raoul Bellanova already in the team.
