Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana is set to leave Qatar following disagreements about the tactical approach with the coach of the Cameroon national team.

This according to Spanish broadcaster Cadena COPE, via FCInterNews, who reported this afternoon that the 26-year-old will play no further part at the FIFA World Cup due to his disagreement with coach Rigobert Song.

Onana had started for Cameroon in their opening group stage loss to Switzerland, but was left out of the team entirely for today’s clash with Serbia.

The reasons for this were tactical, with Song asking the Nereazzurri keeper to change up his style in goal, whilst Onana was resistant to this instruction.

According to Cadena COPE, after initially dropping to the bench, the argument has led to Onana leaving Cameroon’s squad entirely.

The Inter keeper is now set to leave Qatar altogether, according to the broadcaster, with no chance of reconciliation with his national team’s coach.
