Inter took to Social Media to show the players not selected for the World Cup in training, whilst wishing that they could return to Serie A action.

The Nerazzurri face a lengthy wait for a competitive match due to the domestic season being put on pause, but Italy’s failure to qualify for the World Cup meant players such as Alessandro Bastoni remained behind.

The defender was shown in a photo posted by the club on Instagram alongside Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar, with the caption: “POV: Sunday afternoon and there’s no Serie A match”
