Inter have added friendly matches against Serie A rivals Sassuolo and Serie B side Reggina to their schedule for their training retreat in Malta in December.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who report that the Nerazzurri will face the Italian duo in addition to La Liga side Real Betis.

Inter are firming up their plans for their training retreat over the World Cup break, with those players not on international duty set to convene for training soon.

Forward Joaquin Correa should also be among the players immediately at the disposition of Inter coach Simone Inzaghi, as the 28-year-old was left out of Argentina’s squad at the World Cup due to a knock but is now fit.

The friendly clash with Betis had already been confirmed for December 17, whilst two other matches will be played either side of Christmas.

Inter will meet Reggina on December 22, and then Sassuolo on December 28.
