Inter are still keen on signing former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie who could be allowed to leave Barcelona on loan.

This according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.com, who report that the Blaugranas would consider allowing the 25-year-old to depart next summer on loan, and that the Nerazzurri are considering a move for him.

Inter have long been admirers of former Atalanta midfielder Kessie, having considered him a target during this summer transfer window when he was available on a free transfer.

The Ivorian instead made the switch to Barcelona on a free transfer ahead of the current season.

However, Kessie has found playing time hard to come by with the Catalan giants, and there is a real chance of his being allowed to depart on loan.

The Ivorian’s wages would be difficult for the Nerazzurri to accommodate, although they could look to find the right formula with Barcelona.

For the player’s part, Kessie is inclined to stay at Barcelona for the remainder of the current campaign, but could be open to seeking a new challenge next summer.
