Inter are set to face competition for the signature of Borussia Monchengladbach wingback Ramy Bensebaini from Bayern Munich.

This according to today’s print edition of Italian newspaper Quotidiano Sportivo, via L’Interista, who report that the Bavarians are keen to rival Inter nor just for Gladbach striker Marcus Thuram but also for Bensebaini.

Inter are tracking Bensebaini who, like Thuram, sees his contract with Gladbach run out at the end of the current season.

The Algerian has been identified as having the ideal profile to replace Robin Gosens on the left flank should the German depart.

However, as with Thuram’s case, the contract situation of Bensebaini has also alerted Bayern to a possible transfer opportunity.

According to Quotidiano Sportivo, the German champions are also keen on signing the 27-year-old to reinforce at left-back.

The situation could depend on whether or when Gosens departs from Inter which would trigger their search for a replacement.
