Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie has been offered to Inter by his agent as he has grown frustrated with his lack of playing time with the Catalan giants.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 25-year-old’s agent has been in contact with the Nerazzurri to inform them that he is keen on a move.

Kessie only made the move to Barcelona in the summer transfer, but so far this season has not featured prominently in Blaugranas coach Xavi’s plans.

The Ivorian could already be in search of a new challenge, pursuing more playing time elsewhere.

A return to Serie A where he is well-proven would be one option pursued by Kessie’s representatives, although a move back to the Rossoneri is not a possibility according to the Corriere.

However, Inter have always been admirers of the former Atalanta midfielder, and are in contact with his agent George Antangana.

Given that Kessie currently earns €6.5 million net per season at Barcelona, which would make him one of Inter’s highest-paid players, this could be a stumbling block in a move.

However, the Nerazzurri would see the 25-year-old as a starting-quality midfielder and may well take the opportunity to sign him especially if theyh can agree a loan deal with Barcelona.
