Inter’s interest in former AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie could become serious again if they feel that it is possible to sign him on loan from Barcelona.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, who note that the 25-year-old had already been a target for the Nerazzurri in the summer of 2020, and that if he is available on loan from Barcelona he would be a target again.

Inter have always been admirers of Kessie, and had already made an attempt to sign the Ivorian from city rivals Milan in 2020, having offered the likes of Radja Nainggolan and Matias Vecino as possible counterparts in a player-plus-cash deal.

The Rossoneri declined the Nerazzurri’s interest in Kessie, but in the end did not extend his contract, and the Ivorian moved to Barcelona this summer.

However, so far this season Kessie has received little playing time from Blaugranas coach Xavi, and could look for a move away.

Should Barcelona be open to negotiating a loan deal that works for Inter, Kessie would certainly become a target for the Nerazzurri once again.
