Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana is keen to return to Milan very soon to get back in training after his unexpected departure from the Cameroonian national team squad.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the 26-year-old will have a short vacation and then link back up with the Nerazzurri squad.

Onana is now back in Cameroon, having left the Cameroon squad at the World Cup in Qatar.

The 26-year-old’s initial intention after it quickly became clear that his rift with Cameroonian national team coach Rigobert Song could not be patched up would have been to return straight to Milan.

However, Onana instead returned to Yaounde in Cameroon for family reasons, where he is expected to spend a few days.

The Nerazzurri keeper will take the opportunity to have a vacation and continue to support the national team in Qatar, and then he will return to Milan to train with Inter for the return of the Serie A season.
