Legendary former Inter midfielder Evaristo Beccalossi is hoping that striker Romelu Lukaku can make an impact in the team’s return to Serie A against Napoli.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Radio Sportiva, via FCInterNews, the former midfielder expressed the hope that the Belgian’s return can be decisive for the Nerazzurri when they face the league leaders in January.

Inter will have a massive match in the context of their season right away when the club seasons returns on the other side of the World Cup in Qatar.

If Inter can beat the Partenopei then they can eat into their formidable advantage at the top of the Serie A table.

However, given the form that Napoli have shown so far in the campaign, getting the needed result will certainly be no mean feat.

For Beccalossi, a return to full fitness and form of Lukaku would be potentially key for the Nerazzurri.

“Inter couldn’t call upon the Belgian during the first part of the season, hopefully he’ll be back to his best when the season resumes with a match against Napoli, who look extraordinary,” Beccalossi said.
