Inter striker Lautaro Martinez is set to start for the Argentine national team in their World Cup group stage clash with Poland this evening.

This according to Argentine news outlet Ole, via FCInterNews, who report that Albiceleste coach Lionel Scaloni will continue to put his faith in the Nerazzurri striker for the decisive match to reach the knockout stage of the tournament.

Argentina will be starting with what Scaloni considers to be their strongest possible eleven in this evening’s match against Poland.

Saturday’s win over Mexico gave the Albiceleste a platform on which to reach the round of sixteen, but the shock opening loss to Saudi Arabia still means that their work is far from over, and a result against Poland would be necessary.

Martinez has not managed to get on the scoresheet so far in Qatar, but Scaloni has no doubts about him.

The Argentina coach will continue to be his faith in the 25-year-old to lead the line against Poland.
