Salernitana and Empoli are both interested in signing Inter midfielder Giovanni Fabbian, whilst he could also stay on loan at Reggina next season if they are promoted to Serie A.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 19-year-old’s form with the Calabrians in Serie B this season is starting to attract serious transfer attention.

Fabbian joined Reggina on loan in the summer transfer window, and so far the Inter youngster has enjoyed a very positive campaign.

The 19-year-old has been among the standout players in the team as Reggina have reached second place in the Serie B table, behind only league leaders Frosinone.

Should the Calabrians achieve promotion to the top flight they are likely ask to extend Fabbian’s loan.

Inter could see letting the young midfielder get his first taste of Serie A football with the same club he is doing well at as the right option for his development.

On the other hand, among teams currently in Serie A, both Salernitana and Empoli have been tracking the midfielder.
