Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is likely to rely more on fringe players in the squad in the busy January fixture list, with Kristjan Asllani and Raoul Bellanova in particularly set for more opportunities.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who note that the Nerazzurri coach will have to make use of his full squad as the fixtures pile up on the other side of the World Cup.

Inter get their Serie A campaign up and running again with a bang with their clash with league leaders Napoli on January 4.

After then, the Nerazzurri will be playing twice a week until their Supercoppa Italiana clash with AC Milan in the middle of the month.

During the period, Inzaghi will hardly be able to play his preferred starters over and over without risking physical problems.

Accordingly, both Asllani and Bellanova are likely to receive more playing time than they had during the first part of the campaign.

Moreover, the Corriere notes, experienced defender Danilo D’Ambrosio should also be expected to play more provided he recovers from his adductor injury well.

Roberto Gagliardini, meanwhile, will likely enjoy more than the fringe role in the team that he has so far this season.
