Inter forward Joaquin Correa will not be included in the squad to travel to Malta for a training retreat due to an injury.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, via FCInterNews, who report that the Argentina will be left out of the group to travel due to an Achilles tendon injury, but that he will rejoin the squad once they return to Italy.

Correa has missed out on the World Cup in Qatar with Argentina due to a problem with his Achielles tendon.

The 28-year-old will also be excluded from the Nerazzurri’s training retreat in Malta next week due to the problem.

Meanwhile, wingback Matteo Darmian’s condition is being assessed for the retreat.

The likes of Lautaro Martinez, Denzel Dumfries, and Stefan de Vrij will all be at the World Cup in Qatar where they have reached the round of sixteen with their respective national teams, whilst Andre Onana is currently on vacation.
