Monza remain very keen on signing Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini during the January transfer window.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via L’Inerista, who report that the 28-year-old remains very much on the Brianzoli’s radar as they push to remain in Serie A for another season by strengthening in January.

Gagliardini’s future at Inter is very much up in the air for as early as January.

The fact that the former Atalanta midfielder’s current contract runs out at the end of June 2023 and he is not set to extend it means that he will leave the Nerazzurri by next summer at the latest, almost certainly.

However, a departure before then still cannot be ruled out.

Inter could decide to allow Gagliardini to leave during the January transfer window, should the right offer come along for him.

According to the Gazzetta, this would be likeliest to arrive from Monza.

The newly-promoted club have marked Gagliardini as a major target to reinforce in midfield for the remainder of the campaign.
