Inter have made contact with Rennes about the possibility of signing 21-year-old wingback Adrien Truffert.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, who report that the asking price for the Frenchman is around €20 million but that the Nerazzurri would like a loan formula, and that he is their preferred replacement if Robin Gosens leaves.

Inter are beginning to seriously think about the possibility of replacing Gosens if the German departs.

The likes of Bayer Leverkusen’s Mitchel Bakker and Empoli’s Fabiano Parisi are among the names on the Nerazzurri’s list.

However, for one reason or another the Nerazzurri are not fully convinced about other targets, and would see Truffert as the ideal candidate to take over on their left flank if Gosens departs.

The 21-year-old would cost around €20 million, although Inter’s intention would be to agree an initial loan deal, possibly containing an obligation to buy the player if certain conditions are met.
